Hi again!
It’s been a few months since I wrote our official introductory post for this blog. We’ve come a long way since then and have made a lot of progress. But by far the most exciting part of building a company is, well, actually building the company. And a company is defined by the people who work for it. I’m really excited to announce that we’re rounding out our team with the addition of three more amazing people. So, without further ado:
This is Michelle Wetzler:
Michelle comes to us from Accenture, where she managed technical teams all the way from project start to finish. She’s already added a ton of value by compiling all the crap us co-founders have in our heads, like the competitive landscape and our customer relationships. Michelle is a master planner and organizer, is great with customers, AND she has an engineering degree. Keen is lucky to have her on board!
This is Micah Wolfe:
Micah is a unicorn. He’s a badass Designer (capital D because he does more than just UI!). Although he studied industrial design in college, his abilities are crazily broad. Whether designing robots in 3D Studio Max, enhancing images using Adobe® Photoshop®, or creating amazing logos in Illustrator, everything he creates is thoughtful and beautiful. And if that wasn’t enough, he’s an expert with HTML and CSS. Check out our new website to see an example of his work (and make sure to resize the page!). Jealous? 🙂
And this is Kirk Schmink:
Kirk’s pedigree includes Amazon, McMaster-Carr, and the University of Chicago. Most recently, he managed the commercial products buying team at Amazon (covered in the Wall Street Journal and TechCrunch). Kirk will be owning all of our operations, from finances to legal to HR. In addition, he’ll be helping shape our sales and business strategies. Kirk’s multi-faceted; he can handle multi-year corporate strategy all the way down to executing on day-by-day tactics. He’s also one of the smartest, most level-headed people I know.
Today is the first day our entire team is physically together. We celebrated by having a team lunch in Sausalito:
We’ve known Kirk since high school and Michelle and Micah since college. I can’t tell you how excited we are to build a company where we’re surrounded by some of the smartest and most capable people around. And to top it off, we’re all really good friends. This already feels like an amazing place to work.
Over the next few months, we’ll be keeping Michelle, Micah, and Kirk busy as they help us rethink how businesses use analytics to create and share insights. But in their off time, you can find them on Twitter. Say hi sometime!
