We are excited to announce and welcome Laith Dahiyat to the Keen team as our new General Manager, overseeing business operations and strategy.
Laith brings a wealth of knowledge in the enterprise software and e-commerce industries with a focus on product management and global software development. On top of bringing over two decades of SaaS experience, he also has a proven track record of building strategic partnerships and improving efficiencies that have increased profitability and revenue growth across several companies including Network Solutions, Accruent, and Assembla.
Laith joins Keen from Chargify, another Scaleworks company, where he held the position of Vice President of Strategic Initiatives.
Paul Lynch, CEO of Chargify, says “Laith Dahiyat has held senior roles in two of the previous businesses which I have led. The attention to detail and work ethic he brings to his organizations is incredible. I look forward to continuing our working relationship as he takes the helm at Keen and am excited to see how he will take this already excellent business to the next level.”
We sat down with Laith to get his view on his new role and to understand what his outlook is for the next year at Keen:
Tell us how you are feeling about your new role?
I could not be more excited about joining the team at Keen. I think there is huge potential around the category of event data management. Data analytics is and will always be a central part of Keen. I am excited because we are doubling down on the data and analytics and giving companies new ways to leverage data to grow their business. Now that we are part of the Chargify team, customers can start billing off the data within Chargify almost instantly. This will allow companies to use their event data across their entire data stack and help grow their revenue much faster.
What is your impression of the team?
The first thing that struck me about the team at Keen is how passionate they are about their customers. We are constantly working with them to come up with new ways to work with their data and solve analytical problems. Between our teams in San Antonio and Krakow, Poland we are constantly collaborating and having fun at the same time.
Describe why you think the Keen platform is so important and what your vision is for Keen for the future.
First and foremost the first thing we are focusing on is expanding the way customers can use the event data they are capturing in the platform. While analytics and reporting are important in core to the platform, using the same data across your entire business stack is incredibly powerful and that is where we are focusing our efforts for our customers; billing and revenue ops, customer success, and marketing.
Keen is thrilled to welcome Laith to the team. With his experience and leadership driving the team, we’re confident Keen is on the right path to set a new standard in event data management.
